It is being shown that the Transvaginal mesh can erode into the rectum and lower abdomen. Even removal after surgery, results in severe pain. Other women are developing infections. What we are seeing is a quality of life concern. Women are saying “even though i suffered with pelvic organ prolapse, my quality of life was better before i underwent the initial vaginal surgery”

From an Attorney In Missouri

“I’m an attorney in St. Louis, Missouri. I
have met with numerous women who are having serious complications from
mesh implant surgeries they underwent for pelvic organ prolapse or
stress urinary incontinence. Their stories have all been
heartbreaking, and I cannot imagine what it would be like to live with
the severity of pain and discomfort that many of them have had (in
addition to the embarrassment of incontinence).”

Personally, I’ll never forget an experience I had about two months
ago while meeting with a woman and her family at their home. After
about 35 minutes of speaking with this woman and her husband in their
living room, I realized that there was a family photograph above their
fireplace. The photograph included both she and her husband, as well
as their four children, and it had been taken about three to four
years ago. I was shocked to see how young and vibrant she looked in
the photo, when compared with how worn down and degenerated she had
become since receiving a mesh implant to treat stress urinary
incontinence.

Something I’ve found during every consultation I have with new
clients is that they all seem to feel isolated and alone. I haven’t
met anyone yet that seems to realize that there are numerous other
women across the country experiencing the same, or similar,
complications from a mesh implant surgery.

As an attorney, I am fighting my hardest to take on these mesh kit
manufacturers in federal court (C.R. Bard, Boston Scientific, Johnson
& Johnson, and American Medical Systems). The frustration that I feel
is knowing that the legal process moves at a snail’s pace, and in
the meantime, these women need to find a way to get healthy again. So
far, we’ve been lucky to have a doctor here in St. Louis who has
successfully performed corrective surgery for a majority of the women
I have spoken with.

I think what you are doing with your blog is great – thank you for
reading my message.
